FEATURING:

Good evening and welcome to HOLE PICS. Frequently used on hook-up sites, a hole pic is an intimate photograph of one’s most private parts. Similar to these images, HOLE PICS, the show, transcends traditional boundaries pulling its name from the exposition of sharing the most private parts of ourselves with others.

Tonight, we are here to celebrate SOPHIE Xeon, a Scottish music producer, song-writer, and DJ. Her work was known for its brash take on pop music, storming the industry between 2012-2020 eventually being nominated for a Grammy award. On January 30th 2021, we sadly lost SOPHIE. Her memory lives on tonight through her music and the performances of these artists.

HOLE PICS is a theatrical experiment that binds the community through the expressive medium of performance art. It seeks to celebrate individuality, creating a space where personal narratives unfold in a unique and unapologetic manner, fostering connections – like those created by SOPHIE – among its diverse audiences.

A few things to note before the show begins.

Rule 1, Don’t touch.
Rule 2, Love, down.
Rule 3, Loni is our stage cat, she will be jumping around the room collecting tips during the numbers. If you see something you love and the performer cannot grab your tip, give your coin to Loni. Loni is a sexy ass bitch, you’ll see her.
Rule 4, this show is two acts. There will be a 20 minute intermission in between.
Rule 5, share your K, and enjoy the show.

PAPER MAGAZINE

by Andrew Nguyen

“… captured the chaos, yearning, introspection, joy, catharsis and positive and negative spaces that SOPHIE explored in her experimental pop.”

THE BROOKLYN RAIL

by Noa Rui-Piin Weiss

“Above a sea of harnesses and eyeliner, one lit candle stood flickering. Around it, dozens of blinking lights on sound equipment floating in the room. All wavering in imperfect unison, all a tribute to SOPHIE.”
